Happy Mother's Day, Mommies!
Okay, I honestly do not like to celebrate mother's day. I am a mom EVERY day. But if we have to celebrate one day out of the year I would choose my son's birthday, the day I became a proud momma. (I know actual dates of starting motherhood are debatable but I'm sticking with my child's birthday, k?) I get so excited 5:17am every 24th day of March. And on that date next year, when my baby will be 21, I probably will party "hardier" than him!
But I digress.
I am so bad at getting gifts for my mom. I think she has ENOUGH perfume. This year I didn't get her anything. Her birthday is next Sunday (5.15) so I told myself I'll get her a great gift for her birthday. It'll be so great that she won't even remember mother's day, I said.
Well, she gave me a gift for mother's day and now I feel like a heel. What do you do on mother's day when (1) you do not like to celebrate the "holiday" (2) you and your mom don't usually buy gifts for one another (3) your mom's birthday is so close to mother's day and (4) you are horrible at getting gifts?
This is a S.O.S.
Please help a momma out!
