MiMi is my two and a half year old stepdaughter. (C'mon, collective heavy sigh.) I only have one biological child and he is 21 years old... now you understand the heavy sigh. Yep, starting all over for me but in every-other-week installments.
Today is MiMi Monday. Every Monday is a pickup/drop off day for MiMi. My husband picked her up today and I'm eagerly awaiting her arrival. Of course this eagerness will be short lived because I now have the patience of a gnat! I love her though but this stepmother role AND starting over somewhat is a tad bit trying at times. Its also fun. While she's learning, I'm learning a bit too. My goal here is to share our (every other) weekly adventures.
Hopefully, we all come out fairly unscathed.
Many issues and problems arise in our parenting situation. The question I would like to pose to parents is this: At what point are parents to put aside their personal feelings for the sake of the child?
